UCLA-DOE Institute for Genomics and Proteomics is currently looking for a part-time web developer to help us with the design and development of a new, AJAX/Java-based site of the Database of Interacting Proteins (current site: http://dip.doe-mbi.ucla.edu). The candidate should be familiar with development of AJAX-based sites preferentially backed by Java/Struts. The position gives opportunity to influence new functionality and look of one of the oldest protein interaction databases supporting bioinformatics research community since 2000.

Required skills:
- good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
- experience building dynamic, AJAX-based web sites
- familiarity with one of the AJAX toolkits supported within Struts2 framework (DOJO, GWT, etc…)

Pay: commensurate with experience
